Tecumseh Community Emergency Response Team Tecumseh United Methodist Church May 28, 2009 Monthly Meeting   The meeting was called order at 7:00pm. Those present were Herb Whitlow, David and Linda Brink, Dan and Pat Krug, Neva Martin, Willa Norwood, Cindy Whitsell, Nancy Rush, Steve and Linda Vogel, Kevin Smoot. Tecumseh North Elementary School has given permission to use the basement storm shelter in case of need. It will be open to anyone in the community. Herb has keys to open the door. It was discussed that there is a need for a second person to have possession of a key in the event that Herb is not available to unlock the door. Neva agreed to take a key for a week end Herb will be out of town. Team captains should notify people in their area that the school shelter is available. Area 17 (Hwy. 40, Green Rd. to Stubbs Rd.) is in need of a captain. Tecumseh Rd., Consuelo, and South Green Rd. are also needing captains. Herb has been asked to forward e-mails to area captains. There will be e-mails coming regarding dates of classes, etc. Poor attendance at monthly meetings was discussed. Perhaps a day other than Saturday would be better and also meetings every other month might improve attendance. It was decided that the next meeting would be Monday, June 22 at 7:00pm. Herb needs a listing of area residents from team captains who have not yet turned them in.
